The summer term of Living Christianity: Real Christianity for real people is starting up soon. These varied courses focus on work and faith, including seminars on the following:
  • The Kingdom of God at Work
    Does our work get in the way of our true vocation, or is it a key part of our mission and ministry, God’s call to us? This course will use the quiet but revolutionary quality of the Sermon on the Mount, especially the Beatitudes, to deepen our understanding of how we integrate our faith and work.
    Wednesdays 12 & 26 May; 9 & 23 June;7 & 21 July 8.00 – 9.30pm

  • PowerPoint basics
    A basic introduction to using PowerPoint in church services or meetings, for those with little or no experience of PowerPoint, but some computer literacy. You will need to bring a laptop computer with PowerPoint software installed and a memory stick. 
    Monday 12th July 1.30 – 5pm OR Saturday 17th July 9.30am – 1pm

  • Is it I, Lord?
    An opportunity to prayerfully reflect on where God may be calling you, with the option of talking to a vocations adviser.
    A quiet morning focused on vocation and God’s calling
    Friday 11th June, 10am – 1pm

  • Knowing me, knowing God
    A gentle summer opportunity to explore your personality preferences through the Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator and reflect on how your personality affects the way in which you pray and relate to God.
    Tuesdays 3 & 10 August 8pm and Saturday 7 August 10am – 4pm

  • Walk through the Old Testament
    A memorable and fun-filled overview of the Old Testament story, strongly recommended by most people who have experienced it.
